To begin, download and install the Home Use version of Macrium Reflect Free from the Macrium Reflect website. You can also use this to clone Windows to a larger driver if you’d prefer.īefore you follow these steps, make sure that both your existing hard drive and new hard drive are connected to your PC and are detectable in Windows. The free version of Macrium Reflect allows you to clone your Windows installation from a larger to a smaller drive, resizing the partition table in the process. Various tools exist for this method, but one good (and free) option is to use Macrium Reflect Free. Unfortunately, as this process doesn’t work if you’re moving from a larger to smaller drive, you’ll need to use third-party software to copy Windows instead. Using a new system image to clone your hard drive is still the best way to migrate Windows 10 to a new hard drive. Transfer Windows 10 to a Different Sized Hard Drive Using Third-Party Software After a few moments, your system partition will be expanded to include the additional space on your drive, ensuring that all available drive space is usable.

In theory, WinRE makes it simple to get into safe mode. Safe mode was designed to solve the chicken-and-egg problem that you need to access your PC to fix it, but you can’t access your PC if it won’t start. If you can’t do that, you will have to – as WinRE puts it – “use a device”. From there you can get to safe mode and use the troubleshooting and repair options. So, your first aim should be to get to WinRE. If it can’t fix it, it should switch to the Windows Recovery Environment, otherwise known as Windows RE or WinRE, which boils down to two options:ġ) Start Windows in safe mode using the code on the internal hard drive, then use the troubleshooting routines to fix it.Ģ) Use code on an external device such as a recovery DVD or USB thumbdrive to start Windows, and then repair or replace the code on the internal hard drive. If Windows 10 knew you had a blank or even a black screen of death, it would try to fix it. Great for parents homeschooling their children. Parents can also turn their favorite book into an audiobook and have it read aloud on those long road trips. This makes for greater retention as two senses are stimulated. With TTS, words are highlighted (think Karaoke) so your child could read and listen at the same time. College students, teachers, professors, parents, professionals, productivity enthusiasts, and those that are challenged with reading can benefit greatly as well.Īs children play, you could use TTS to read out their favorite book, or a school reading, or use it for more intentional times. Children pick up so much from listening (ask any parent) and unlocking the number of (quality) words a child can listen to holds tremendous potential in their development. Your data is safe. There are limitless reasons and use cases for TTS. Your privacy matters! No server, no internet connection is required. Batch convert to searchable PDF directly from the Finder!. Both sequels were released out of chronological order. While the film received a limited theatrical release, The Brave Little Toaster was popular on home video and was followed by two sequels a decade later: The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars (1998) and The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue (1999). Many CalArts graduates, including the original members of Pixar Animation Studios were involved with this film. The film was produced by Hyperion Animation along with The Kushner-Locke Company. The story focuses on five appliances- a toaster, a gooseneck lamp, an electric blanket, a radio, and a vacuum cleaner-who go on a quest to search for their original owner. The film is set in a world where household appliances and other electronics come to life, pretending to be lifeless in the presence of humans. The Brave Little Toaster is a 1987 American animated musical comedy-adventure film adapted from the 1980 novel The Brave Little Toaster: A Bedtime Story for Small Appliances by Thomas M. However, none of these tinkering jobs are possible if your PC can’t see the target device in the first place. For an Android power user, you may also want to reinstall the factory firmware on your phone, which means you have to deal with the OEM-specific flashing utilities. So you’ve got an Android device and want to dive deep into the world of modding? Be it rooting or installing a custom ROM like LineageOS, most of the aftermarket modding requires you to connect your Android smartphone to a computer using a USB cable so you can use tools like the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) and Fastboot to interact with the device. Text, including user instructions, terms and conditions, FAQs, text within graphics, etc.with hard-coded language replaced by ‘calls’ that automatically retrieve text in the user’s native language, whatever it may be.įollowing the internationalization stage, several elements of the app are recreated to such an extent that a user will assume they were developed originally in their own language. The coding is then re-designed to be language-independent-i.e. Internationalization, often referred to as ‘i18n’, is the preparatory work that distinguishes text and other user-facing content from the app’s coding. Localizing everything from the app’s terminology and cultural references to its audio-visual content and user experience (UX) requires an initial stage called ‘ internationalization’. What is app localization?Īpp localization is the process of adapting every element of your app to suit the cultural, linguistic, and technical requirements of each of your target markets. Let’s take a look at everything you need to know about app localization, including why it’s important, and how to solve the most common localization challenges. Instead, you recreate apps for native speakers in multiple languages, which means every detail-from currency to cultural nuances, units of measurement to user-friendliness-feels tailor-made for them. That’s why you can’t think about ‘translating’ apps into what users will inevitably feel is a sub-standard version of the original. When developing a new app, you need a plan for how to scale it globally, assess who it’s for, and create something that’s relevant to all potential users.Īpps are all about universality and ease of use, so nothing should tie it down to one specific language or location. Your app has to be able to travel far and wide while providing an equally amazing experience to anyone who might use it. It’s because the saga contains themes that apply to anyone, regardless of geographic location and cultural differences. Star Wars wasn’t a global success because the movies were translated into most of the world’s languages. Documentation of what Twitch does with IRC can be found at Most importantly Twitch only losely follows the IRC spec, so arguing that a client doesn't properly follow a spec when you have issues with Twitch is a really slippery slope. Note that you'll have a pretty bad IRC experience in Thunderbird with Twitch due to a multitude of reasons, including that you can't send the CAP requests to get JOIN/PART/MODEs, that you won't see any of the special messages like responses to commands or USERNOTICES and many, many more little annoyances. I've attached my config keys for the (working) Twitch IRC account I have configured. Based on my further explanations following this I think it'd be better to treat Twitch as a separate provider. We could add non-standard code to try and detect twitch, however that'd have to happen based on the server URI, and since there are about three aliases that strikes me as rather complicated. TMI (Twitch's IRC network) works just fine in Thunderbird when the password is properly set as server password and not as account password (so with the pref Patrick described). Verification and it may not be changed once registered. It is possible to send multiple PASS commandsīefore registering but only the last one sent is used for Must match the one contained in the C/N lines (for servers) or I Send a PASS command before any SERVER command. Currently this requires that clients send a PASSĬommand before sending the NICK/USER combination and servers *must* Password can and must be set before any attempt to register theĬonnection is made. The PASS command is used to set a 'connection password'. The correct implementation would allow connecting without any issues.Īttachment: RFC 1459 Chapter 4.1 (only relevant section) The currently wrong implementation causes the response "Improperly formatted auth" and disconnects the Client. Password: 'oauth-token in the format "oauth:asdasd234asd234ad234asds23xyz" (without quotes)' One of these examples is the IRC Server. Thunderbird starts with USER or NICK, which causes issues with Servers strictly sticking to the RFC. The IRC connection initialization is in the wrong order.Īccording to the RFC 1459 (Chapter 4.1, see attachement), the PASS message HAS TO BE the FIRST message sent. |
